What we collect when you submit an abstract, and how we use it.
The symposium is organised by the School of Chemical Engineering at The University of Queensland (UQ). UQ handles personal information in line with the Information Privacy Act 2009 (Qld) and the Queensland Privacy Principles.
What we collect
When you submit an abstract we collect the details you enter in the form — your name, email address, affiliation, country, career stage, co-author names, and the abstract file you upload.
How we use it
We use this information only to run the symposium: to consider abstracts, tell you the outcome, contact you about your presentation, build the program, and publish accepted titles and author names in the program and abstract book.
We do not sell your information or use it for marketing.
Who can see it
Only members of the organising committee can see submissions. Files are kept in private storage and are not publicly accessible.
Where it is stored
The website and its database are run by cloud service providers (Vercel, Supabase and Resend) that may store or process your information outside Australia, including in the United States. By submitting an abstract you agree to this.
How long we keep it
We delete all submissions and uploaded files within one month after the symposium ends. Titles and author names published in the program or abstract book remain public.
Your choices
You can ask us to correct or delete your submission at any time by writing to [email protected].
